Box 217 Hotchkiss, CO 81419 Re: Terror Creek Loadout (Permit No. C-1983-059) Permit Revision Application No. 1 (PR-1) Post-Mining Land Use Change Dear Sir or Madam: The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on July 26, 2019, an application to revise coal mining operations at the Terror Creek Loadout was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. PR-1 proposes to change the post-mining land use of the Terror Creek Loadout from irrigated hay cropland to industrial/commercial (initially as an RV/boat storage facility). The proposed changes include a change to the post-mining topography. The applicant is not proposing additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. The loadout coal mining operation is on land located approximately 4 miles Northeast of Paonia, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: Portions of Section 15, Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map(s): Bowie.
