ATTACHMENT A2 SLOPES AND WALLS
See Slope Stability Information enclosed and Attachment 3 Reclamation Plan Map(showing new road
alignment,storm water,and retaining walls)
1. The information provided in response to the enforcement action in 2018 is incorporated by
reference. The major change is the realignment of the road and removal of the retaining walls
from the east edge and locations where the existing roadcuts will be backfilled to a 2:1 or flatter
slope. The entire large excavated hole south of this area will also have its sides sloped to a 2:1
or flatter slope. The existing road to the top(south)of the property will remain in its present
configuration, with storm water controls and seeding done in 2018.
2. It is the intent of the owner/operator to backfill and grade to final slope as soon as DRMS
approves this proposed plan.
3. Placement of soil and seeding will follow as soon as possible, season and weather permitting.
4. The various cabins and sheds,as well as equipment, will remain on-site,with some relocation as
necessary, for post-reclamation use of the property, as desired by the landowner.Tire bales not
used as part of reclamation will also be stored on-site for future use on-or off-site post-
reclamation.
5. The flatter areas remaining after final grading will not have soil replaced or be revegetated,to
allow for their intended post-reclamation use for parking and storage,as stated in the original
2011 application. (These areas will be graveled following reclamation for these planned uses.)
The property is zoned as agricultural estate (rural residential)with associated commercial use as
permitted by the County.
The three-page geotechnical assessment is a separately numbered enclosure to this Attachment A2.
The new reclamation plan map is Attachment A3.
The Archuleta County minor amendment application and approval package is Attachment A4.
Attachments Page 3
