6.3.3 EXHIBIT C
Mining Plan
6.3.3 Mining Plan description:
The purpose of the mining plan is to describe how mining will affect the permit area for the
duration of the operation. This plan must be correlated to Exhibit E—Map. The
description of the mining plan must be adequate to satisfy the requirements of Section 3.1
and demonstrate compliance with Rule 3. At a minimum, the Operator/Applicant must
include the following information:
(1) The purpose of the mining plan is to describe how mining will affect the permit
area for the duration of the operation. This plan must be correlated to Exhibit E—
Map:
(a) The estimated dates mining will begin and end. If the operation is
intended to be an intermittent operation as defined in by statute, the
Applicant should include in this exhibit a statement that conforms to the
provisions of the Statutory requirements:
• The proposed operation will not be an intermittent mining operation.
• Mining operations will begin once all required permits are in place. This is
a CDOT roadway project and removal of the borrow material from the site
should require less than 18 months once the project begins. Removal of
borrow material from the site and site reclamation should be completed the
fourth quarter of 2020.
(b) The estimated depth topsoil will be salvaged, specify how the topsoil
will be stockpiled and stabilized with a vegetative cover or other
means until used in reclamation. Topsoil stockpiles must be protected
from mine operations traffic, stream channels or drainageways. The
location must be shown on Exhibit E—Map:
• The average depth of topsoil removed will be 12 inches. We estimate
approximately 45,657 Cubic Yards cyds of topsoil will be needed for site
reclamation. (28.30 acres X 1,613.33 cyds in one acre, one foot deep=
45,657.2 cyds.)
• The three major soils units are Colby loam (Unit 17), Tassel fine sandy
loam (Unit 61), and Weld loam (Unite 79).
➢ Map symbol 17, upper soil is 0"to 7"loam, 7"to 60" silt loam..
➢ Map symbol 61,upper soil is 0"to 11" fine sandy loam, 11"to 15 very
fine sandy loam, 15"to 20 inches, weathered bedrock.
➢ Map symbol 79,upper soil is 0"to 8" loam, 8"to 12"clay, 12"to 15"
clay loam, 15"to 80"loam to silt loam.
➢ We will be able to obtain the 24 inches of replacement topsoil from
25
