The 3 Dam Seepwater Pipelines consist
of two 10-inch HDPE lines, one primary and one backup. The lines travel from the 3 Dam Seepwater Collection
Vault, at the toe of 3 Dam, to the 3 Dam Seepwater Outfall Vault, adjacent to the Ute Park Pump station. The d
lines convey seepwater from the toe of 3 dam to the Ute Park Pump Station, which ultimately conveys the water d IC'
back into the tailing storage facility. Further information on the seepwater return lines can be found in the
Technical Revision 09 documentation.
Currently there are four existing clean-out ports installed in each line, which Henderson has determined to be
insufficient to allow adequate cleaning of the lines. Henderson is proposing to add three additional clean-outs to
each line. The alignment of the pipelines, existing clean-out ports, and proposed clean-out port locations are
included in the attached drawings (attachment 1).
Each additional clean-out will consist of a 10-inch diameter Standard Dimension Ratio (SDR) 17 HDPE pipeline
that will be plumbed into the 3 Dam Seepwater Return lines via a 10-inch molded tee. The clean-out ports will rise
3 feet above ground level and will be closed with a 10-inch removable blind flange. 5-foot bollards will be installed
adjacent to the clean-out ports as protection. Drawings detailing the clean-out port design can also be found in
attachment 1. Construction is planned to be completed summer of 2019.
A check in the amount of$1,006.00 is included with this submittal to cover fees for this Technical Revision.
