T11is land is ctirreni1v in native ranac coy cr The sots are: <br /> Vdb- Vona sandy loam, 1 to 3 percent slope <br /> Cg - Ca.scajo Soils and Gravelly- land <br /> HsB -lianev - Stoneham foams; 0-3 percent slopes <br /> OmA-Olney sandy loath. 0 to I percent <br /> BcA-Baca lown 0 to 3 percent <br /> The Cascajo soils dominate the site %vith Iiaryey.Suonehani soils in the drainages. The site is a <br /> gravel breaks range site. Top soil is verb' thin, gravelly loam, 5" in thickness. See amiched <br /> descriptions. This land leas very little top,,oil and erayel all the way to the surface. Th:. Vona and <br /> Olnev Sand}-loam soils are duper sandy plains rattoe soils with similar vegetative cover. The <br /> Baca loans is a deep soil on the flood plain. Present eeetation cover on the sandy and gray°z1!} <br /> soils is in poor condition consisting of: <br /> Sand Sage brush 10% <br /> Cholla cactus 5% <br /> Prickle pear cactus 5% <br /> Sand dropseed 10% <br /> Blue uratna 501,1'0 <br /> Side oats grama 5% <br /> Forbs and weeds 20% <br /> Sage may be three feet tall, all other vegetation is shorter. <br /> This site is the gravel breaks above the Arkansas River. It is not applicable for anv crop <br /> production and six acres of grazing is needed to support one copy for a month. <br /> The historical 99 year average precipitation for tlus site is 9.5 inches per year. <br />
