CO 81058 <br /> Dear Bert, <br /> 1 have reviewed the land described as: SW 1:47 Section 13 and 19 acres in Lot 4 of Township 22 <br /> S.,Range 58 W of the 6th P.M., in Crowley County, Colorado. An aerial photo of This land is <br /> attached. Tltis land is cun-entl� in naiixc ranac cover. Tht: solo are: <br /> Vdb- Vona sandy loam. 1 to 3 percent slope <br /> Cg -Cas4cajo Soils and Gravell\ land <br /> HsB - HanveN - Stoneham loamy; 0-3 percent slope, <br /> OmA- Olney sandy loam; 0 to 1 percent <br /> BcA -Baca loam 0 to 3 percent <br /> The C'ascajo soils dominate the site with HarveN/Stonehani soils in the drainages. The site is it <br /> gravel breaks rauge site. I op soil is very thin, gravelly loam. 5" in thickness. See attached <br /> descriptions. This land has very little topsoil and gravel all the N%av to the surface. The Vona and <br /> Olnev Sande loam soils are deep er sandy plains ranee soils with similar vegetative coy er The <br /> Baca loath is a deep soil on the flood plain. Present vceetation cover on the sandy and gravelly <br /> soils is in poor condition consisting of: <br /> Sand Sage brush MONO <br /> Cholla cactus 5OX, <br /> Prickle pear cactus 5°'0 <br /> Sand dropseed 1001'0 <br /> Blue grama 50�10 <br /> Side oats grama 501'0 <br /> Forbs and weeds 20% <br /> Sate may be three feet tall, all other vegetation is shorter. <br /> This site is the gravel breaks above the Arkansas River. It is not applicable for any crop <br /> production and six acres of grazing is needed to support one coNv for a month. <br /> The listorical 99 year average precipitation for this site is 9.5 inches per year. <br />
