East Pit reclamation parcels with GPS point locations.
Gulch A Ditch

The majority of the Gulch A Ditch was walked and only a short segment near the bottom was not physically
walked due to a large elk herd that was being disturbed by our inspection. This small portion was fully visible
from above. The Gulch A Ditch was reclaimed in stages from 1992 to 2005 and can been found in Volume 2C,
Appendix Exh. 7-14G of the Colowyo Mine PAP. A GPS point was taken along the Gulch A Ditch to act as a
marker to show where the ditch was measured by the Division. The Phase I portion of the ditch was inspected
visually to ensure the ditch blends and flows properly with the adjacent area that has been Phase III released. The
Division measured the portion of the ditch to have a bottom width of 12 ft., top width of 41 ft. at a depth of 3.5 ft.
Based on the measurements of the widths and depth, the side slope for the ditch is calculated to be at
approximately 4H:1V at that point of the ditch. Overall, the ditch remains stable with rip rap as well as vegetation
establishment. No issues were observed.

Gulch A Ditch at measurement location. Lower portion of Gulch A Ditch.
