The weather was clear and fine. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> The focus of the inspection was on the reclaimed valley fills, West Valley and West Valley II. Both fills <br />appeared to be stable, with no visible surface erosion of the reclaimed surface or damage to the armored down <br />drains. The ponds at the bottom of both fills were mostly dry and well vegetated. The lower parts of both fills were <br />well-vegetated, with some cheat grass dispersed among desirable perrenial grasses and forbs from the seed mix. <br />On the more recently reclaimed areas at the top of the fills the vegetation was much more sparse and dominated by <br />opportunistic annual species, although shoots of seed mix species were observed, which is to be expected in the <br />first/second year following reclamation. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> Treatment of weeds around the facilities area was ongoing. <br />DOCUMENTS RECEIVED <br />N/A <br />OTHER (SPECIFY) <br />N/A <br /> <br />
