8.0 Interim Revegetation Monitoring
Irrigated Cropland and Prime Farmland
For Prime Farmland reclamation areas, interim monitoring will occur in Years 2 and 7. Interim
revegetation monitoring will not be required to meet statistical adequacy and will not provide a
basis for determination of revegetation success. The interim monitoring will assess the
performance of the revegetation unit as it pertains to bond release standards, and the results of the
interim vegetation monitoring will be reported in the annual reclamation report.
Irrigated Pasture and Daland Pasture
For Irrigated Pasture and Dryland Pasture reclamation areas, interim monitoring will occur any
year before the fifth growing season. At the discretion of the New Horizon, reclamation units
may be combined together (e.g. one dryland pasture unit with anther dryland pasture unit) or
may be evaluated as a standalone reclamation unit. Interim revegetation monitoring will not be
required to meet statistical adequacy and will not provide a basis for determination of revegetation
success. The interim monitoring will assess the performance of the revegetation unit as it
pertains to bond release standards, and the results of the interim vegetation monitoring will be
reported in the annual reclamation report.
Page 49 June 2017 (MR -105)
