tc _
X -Q
SX
Where:
x = Bond Release Block Sample Mean
Q = 90% of Standard
S_ = Standard error of mean [ s / J ]
X
S = Sample standard deviation
n = Sample size
tc = Calculated t value
ti = Table t value
The null hypothesis being tested is that the bond release block mean (,u) is less than or equal to
90% of the standard, stated as Ho : p > Q. If tc is greater than the 1 -tailed t table value for
alpha error probability of .20, with (n-1) degrees of freedom (infinite degrees of freedom may be
used
if n>30), then Ho is rejected, and revegetation is deemed successful.
Revegetation Success Criteria Procedures - Irriaated Cropland (Non prime Farmland)
Starting in Year 9 of the liability period, data will be gathered on an annual basis to determine
crop production for the Irrigated Cropland non -prime farmland (IC-NPF) areas. Vegetation
studies will be conducted on both the reclaimed areas and the reference area at the same time.
This study will be conducted immediately prior to, or as part of, the first cut conducted on the
reclaimed and reference areas by the farmers (Morgan).
If the data from the vegetation studies does not show that the reclaimed IC-NPF area has
achieved 90% of the reference area vegetation (within the statistical confidence interval) in
either Year 9 or 10, then management activities will continue into the following year. The
vegetation study will then be repeated until at least two of the last four years of the liability
period show successful revegetation (90% of reference area vegetation).
Page 40 May 2016 (TR -75)
