Doug Smith of Oxbow Mining accompanied the inspection. The weather was a mix of rain and snow, <br />the ground was muddy, but no snow was sticking. <br />The status of the Elk Creek Mine is “active” however no coal is being mined and the only activity since <br />the last inspection was site maintenance. <br /> <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Records were available in the office. Detailed comments are made at the end of this report. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6), Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> The road up Hubbard creek was muddy but passable. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> The small disturbed areas up the Hubbard Creek drainage were inspected.
