D-5
Based on the mined out volume, the anticipated crest reduction and slope recontouring, and the backfill
placement of"growth medium", it is anticipated that the(post-reclamation)main pit depression will result in a
nominal invert or basal elevation approximately 24-ft. below the average surrounding surface elevation.
Due to the underlying eolian sand strata and the highly pervious nature of it and the backfill materials (growth
medium"), the reclaimed pit is not anticipated to be an impounding feature, but merely a surficial depression
(in comparison to the surrounding terrain) facilitating localized infiltration.
(iii) Grass, Forb and Tree Species to be Planted
Revegetation is largely focused on reestablishment of the rangeland plant species identified in Exhibit B: Site
Description. No trees or shrubs are planned as a component of the revegetation process. Such rangeland
revegetation activities will be carried out in a manner consistent with that recommended by Weld County,with
the seed mix and application rate developed per the"sandy site"mix specification shown below in Table D-1;
Seed Mixture and Application Rate(for drilled seeding applications).
Keenesburg Project—Limited Impact 110 Application_May 24,2019
