C-15
supervisory pickup truck travel, and mined/processed material movement throughout the plant area (e.g.,
in-pit haul ramp and haul segment to ROM stockpile).
While these areas may be graded prior to plant assembly, the areas will not be pre-stripped of growth
medium. They will; however,be subject to regrading and revegetation during site reclamation activities.
CSC acknowledges that these areas may require routine re-grading and/or water application (as a dust
suppressant) during the operational duration of the mine and plant operations. Such activities will be
employed, as warranted.
Mine Pit:
The main mine pit will be roughly rectangular in shape (longitudinal axis oriented west to east), with a
nominal length of 575 ft., width of 235 ft. and a projected depth limit of approximately 25 ft. to 30 ft.,
dependent on existing topography. CSC shall retain the right to mine to greater depths, in the event
incremental resource is present and recoverable within design limitations, and market conditions warrant
doing so. Pit sidewalls will be maintained at a nominal 3H:1 V slope, which is anticipated to be roughly
equivalent to natural angle of repose of the material after exposure from excavation activities.
Fines Recovery Pit
The fines recovery pit will be a smaller,rectangular-shaped area(in footprint),nominally 275 ft. in length
(west to east) by 235 ft. in width(north to south). It will be excavated to a depth nominally equivalent to
that of the main mine pit. At its design pit depth of 25-ft.,the feature yields an estimated holding capacity
of approximately 43,000 yd3.
Based on laboratory-scale analyses and anticipated yield factors, the design capacity of the feature is
sufficient to accommodate the anticipated 38,000 yd3 of plant reject, which will be slurried to the pit at an
approximately 40-to 50%moisture content,by weight. The remaining 13% (or 5,000 yd3) of the feature's
overall volumetric capacity will be reserved for storm water collection/detention and freeboard capacity.
Keenesburg Project—Limited Impact 110 Application_May 24,2019
