IM)l
May 21, 2019
Mr.Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety(DRMS)
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Subject: Engineering Evaluation for Borrow Site for Bennett Crossing—Parcel 1
Dear Mr. Ebert
The purpose of this letter is to address DRMS Rule 6.3.12 regarding any adverse effects
the mining operation might have on the stability of any structures located within 200 feet
of the affected land.
The Borrow Site for Bennett Crossing project is excavating no greater than 5.1 feet with an
average depth of 0.8 feet of excavation across the site. The nearest permanent manmade
structure is 90 feet from the limit of excavation where the excavation depth is 0.2 feet. In
my opinion the removal of fill soil from the borrow site will not undermine the stability of
permanent manmade structures located within 200 feet of the borrow site, nor will
activities on the borrow site cause damage to such structures.
Please contact me with any questions,
?ir
Josh Hooper, PE
Project Manager
303-357-2410
Joshua.Hooper@HDRlnc.com
hdrinc corn
1670 Broadway,Suite 3400,Denver,CO 80202-4824
(303)764-1520
