FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18: Elk, deer and pronghorn were observed throughout the site during the inspection. HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: All major ditches were inspected which included Section 29, Section 28, Section 16, South Collection, Final East Pit, North Trib. - East Pit, East Side Collection, Streeter South Side, Streeter Gulch , East Taylor, and Taylor Trib. for the South Taylor/East/West Pit area. Most were dry but water was observed flowing along the Final East Pit Ditch and subsequently the South Collection Ditch. All currently constructed ditches for the Collom area were also inspected. This included D-1, 2, 3, 4, and D-6 ditches. All ditches were dry during the inspection. Erosion was observed within the D-2 Ditch and is schedule for general maintenance. All ditches were stable and no issues were observed. Most of the ponds at the Colowyo Mine were inspected. This included the Section 28, Prospect, Gulch A, Streeter, Section 16, Work Area, West Taylor, East Taylor, West Pit, Stoker Siding, Gossard, Rail Loop, Section 36, Middle, Section 25, Sidehill and Section 26 Ponds. Most ponds held minimal water with no discharge or were dry. The following ponds were discharging and most were measured at their associated flume during the inspection: Streeter ~ 0.22’ Stoker Siding ~ 0.02’ East Taylor ~ 0.20’ West Taylor - Not measured. All pond embankments were stable and all spillways were in functioning order.
