6.3.4 Exhibit D
Reclamation Plan
The current use of the property is for grazing land. The site will be reclaimed back to grazing
land. There is approximately 12 feet of overburden on the site that will be used to restore the site
to its current use. Topsoil will be removed and stored for reclamation purposes.
Reclamation will occur once all mining has been completed. Final grade will blend with the
surrounding topography. Topsoil will be replaced at a depth of 6 inches. Overburden will be
located directly at the mining site and will be put directly back into the reclamation area. There
will be no hauling required. This will be used to backfill the affected 2-acre area to blend the
final grade to surrounding topography.
Reclamation of the vegetated areas will follow the Fremont County Soil Conservation District's
recommended seed mix. Fremont Paving and Redi Mix, Inc. will disc the area and then seed
through drilling. Straw mulch will be crimped in at a rate of approximately 2 tons per acre.
Fremont will preserve all plant growth medium onsite using a loader. All topsoil onsite will also
be preserved. It is anticipated that the preserved topsoil onsite will be sufficient to meet the 6-
inch depth necessary for reclamation.
In the event noxious weeds appear, they will be managed mechanically as directed by the
Fremont County Weed Management Director and allowed by the property owner.
