The revision was submitted by Mountain Coal Company, LLC. All review and <br />comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />TR-147 seeks to allow for the construction of 81 Mine Ventilation Boreholes (MVBs), together <br />with associated drill pads and access roads, above future B-seam longwall panels LWB26 through <br />LWB29 in order to ventilate combustible gases such as methane. Each MVB is proposed to be <br />located on a pad of approximately half an acre, with the exception of the two easternmost pads on <br />each panel which will be co-located on pads of approximately one acre. Approximately 10 miles of <br />new road are proposed to be constructed, with another mile of existing trail to be widened to a <br />road. The applicant is proposing additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently <br />approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 9 miles East of Paonia, <br />Colorado.
