Below are the comments and the corresponding responses that have been <br /> provided to address the comments. <br /> 1.The copy of the As Constructed drawings for the Journey Ventures Pit Slurry Wall submitted to <br /> the Division were not stamped and certified by a professional engineer. Please provide the <br /> Division with a certified copy of the Journey Ventures Pit Slurry Wall As Constructed drawings. <br /> Response: The signed and stamped drawings are attached for the Journey <br /> Ventures Pit Slurry Wall As-Constructed Drawings. <br /> 2. On the Exhibit C Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map,the Operator indicates the permit area is 83.00 <br /> acres.The Division records indicate the current permitted acreage as 82.95 acres.The original <br /> 84.63 acres site was reduced by 1.68 acres with the approval of AR-01 by the Division on April <br /> 10, 2015. Please update the Exhibit C Map to indicate the correct permit acreage. <br /> Response: The updated Exhibit C Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map is attached <br /> with the corrected acreage. <br /> 3. On the Exhibit C Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map,the Operator indicates the acreage affected by <br /> mining activity in Phase 1 and 2 as 68.61 acres. Please indicate the location(s) of the remaining <br /> 14.34 acres of undisturbed acreage for the total permitted acreage of 82.95 acres. <br /> Response: The location of the remaining 14.34 acres has been updated and <br /> shown as a shaded area on the attached Exhibit C Pre-Mining and Mining Plan <br /> Map. <br /> 4. During a site inspection on April 9, 2019,the Operator stated the oil and gas well located in the <br /> western portion of Phase 2 and the oil and gas wells and battery located in southwest portion of <br /> Phase 1 have been abandoned and/or relocated by the oil and gas companies. Please update the <br /> Exhibit C Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map and Exhibit F Reclamation Plan Map to remove the <br /> indicated oil and gas facilities and update the technical revision submittal to discuss the removal <br /> of the oil and gas facilities. <br /> Response: The oil/gas wells that were previously shown on the Exhibit C Pre- <br /> Mining and Mining Plan Map and the Exhibit F Reclamation Plan Map have been <br /> removed as shown on the attached updated maps. <br /> 1 1 305 Denver Avenue—Suite D•Fort Lupton CO 80621 •Ph:303-857-6222•Fax: 303-857-6224 <br />
