Item #14 Response: <br />No action required. <br />Rule 2.05.5 — Post -mining Land Uses <br />15. Letters from the current landowners approving/authorizing the post -mining land <br />use were not found in the permit. These letters are required by Rule 2.05.5(2)(b). <br />Please verify where these letters are in the permit or submit a copy of these letters <br />for inclusion into the permit. <br />Item #15 Response: <br />A brief statement was incorporated into the beginning of Section II.J to address <br />this issue. <br />Rule 2.05.6 — Mitigation of Impacts of Mining <br />16. Rule 2.05.6(4) — Protection of Public Parks and Historical Places. Please ensure <br />that the information provided in Section IV.N of the permit is up to date. Include <br />any changes to existing cultural resources and any new ones discovered since the <br />last renewal. Please also include any new sites that are potentially eligible for <br />protection. <br />Item #16 Response: <br />There have been no new eligible sites identified, or existing sites modified, since <br />the permitting action identified as PR -8 in 2013 was completed. Subsequent surveys <br />have not identified any new eligible sites. The most recent list of sites, both eligible and <br />not eligible are referenced in Section II.A. A reference to Section II.A has been added to <br />Section IV.N. <br />Rule 2.07.7 — Conditions of Permits <br />17. Stipulation No. 50 of the permit currently requires the Deserado Mine to do the <br />following; IF OPERATOR DISCOVERS ANY CULTURAL REMAINS, <br />MONUMENTS OR SITES, OR ANY OBJECT OF ANTIQUITY, OPERATOR <br />SHALL IMMEDIATELY CEASE ACTIVITY AND REPORT DIRECTLY TO <br />BLM AREA MANAGER. THE BLM SHALL TAKE ACTION AS REQUIRED <br />UNDER THE ACTS AND REGULATIONS. OPERATOR SHALL FOLLOW <br />MITIGATION REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH BY BLM CONCERNING <br />PROTECTION, PRESERVATION OR DISPOSITION OF ANY SITES OR <br />MATERIAL DISCOVERED. COST OF SALVAGE EXCAVATION, IF <br />NECESSARY, SHALL BE BORNE BY THE OPERATOR UNLESS <br />OTHERWISE STATED. The Division recommends submitting a Minor Revision <br />to insert this language into the PAP (Section II.A). This action will allow the <br />Division to terminate the stipulation on the permit. <br />Item #17 Response: <br />This language was added to the Subsidence Related Archeological Monitoring <br />Plan Cover Page located in Section II.A as requested. <br />18. Stipulation No. 51 of the permit currently requires the Deserado Mine to do the <br />following; IN ORDER TO PROTECT IMPORTANT SEASONAL WILDLIFE <br />HABITAT (BIG GAME, SEVERE WINTER RANGE), EXPLORATION, <br />DRILLING AND OTHER DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY MAY NOT BE <br />
