Currently the approved route for the
pipeline comes from the Northwest corner of the washplant building, crosses to the north side of Haulroad C and
then crosses under the creek and railroad tracks before paralleling Haulroad C all the way down to the West
entrance of the mine and then to the boreholes. The new proposed route will still place the pipeline in the same
approved corridor as the original pipeline from the boreholes to the Foidel Creek crossing northwest of Pond D.
The modified route would then bring the pipeline from the crossing and turn it to route around to the south side
of pond D and parallel Haulroad B around Pond D and then down the driveway to the new Thickener Tank
location. This proposed route will encounter less crossings with other pipelines and will allow us to avoid
digging around the electrical substation near the washplant. Additionally, TC is proposing to place a 3 inch
water line in the ditch alongside the thickener line which would tie in at the de-sander building on the west side
of Pond D and go to the booster pump building for wash down water. For these modifications there will be no
new surface disturbance, and drainage from this area will be addressed by the existing drainage and sediment
control systems. TC is proposing to bore under the overland conveyor, the railroad tracks, and Foidel Creek in
one long bore to avoid any exposure to the creek and operations.
This submittal includes a revision application form, revised PAP text(page 2.05- 84.7) addressing the additional
thickener line and location, and a revised Map 24 showing the proposed line location. This revision should cause
no increase or decrease in the bond amount and therefore no bond estimate is necessary. We would like to
proceed with this project as soon as possible. We, therefore, appreciate your consideration, cooperation, and
assistance in facilitating timely review and approval of this revision application. After you have opportunity to
review the accompanying information, please feel free to contact me with any questions or to discuss submittal
materials or related matters.
Sincerely,
Twentymile Coal, LLC
e6"" kloap
Miranda Kawcak
Environmental Engineer
