I hope it is adequate for your needs . I <br /> Have reviewed the summary of pit operation you submitted and offer <br /> these recommendations for the reclamation of the area. Since the plan <br /> indicates the pit wl i l be developed in phases , we recommend that <br /> reclamation be completed In phases also . Each phase should be <br /> topso I i ed and graded immediately after- cessation of operations and <br /> reseeded in the first November- fo I l owi n3 the completion of mining <br /> operations . <br /> The transplanting of Russian Olive and Cottonwoods to form a visual <br /> barrier from the Parkway wi i I be an exce I i ent practice . We recommend <br /> that this be done this fa l I after- trees are dormant , but as soon as <br /> possible to a l l ow the barrier to mature and provide the desired <br /> screening soon . It will be cr- i t i ca i to provide irrigation water- to <br /> th I s barrier . A ditch or furrows wi i l be needed through the barrier <br /> and water- will have to be run approximately �2�- t-;��ur-s e•�rer-� two weeks <br /> during the summer- , less in the spring and fall unt i i trees become we l l <br /> established . <br /> The final ;grade of all cut slopes and back:f i l l material should not <br /> exceed _ : 1 when the area. is being prepared for reclamation .
