Aerial photos were taken on March 25, 2019 at 11:20 am
by Harry Ranney. Brock Bowles reviewed the aerial photos. There was patchy snow on the ground. The weather
appears to be sunny because objects are casting sharp shadows.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
King I-
The East and West ponds contained water (photo 1). Water did not appear to be discharging from either pond
because the water levels were very low.

King II-
The pond contained water but was not discharging because the water level was several feet below the discharge
structure.

GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:
King I- The temporary coal waste pile has expanded to the east. Coal waste is being placed at the foot of
the current waste pile up to the level of the waste pile access road (photo 1). This area is still within the boundary
of the approved final waste pile configuration and within the approved disturbance boundary.
The approved waste pile has reached the clear water ditch. The top of the pile appears to be sloped to the west and
south as designed.

King II-
Coal was being loaded onto highway trucks and several trucks were in the queue to be loaded.
