Keenesburg Mine 2018 Vegetation Monitoring Report
The cheatgrass infestation that has plagued most of these Reclamation Areas in past years has
been largely mitigated. While some of the reclamation areas have not achieved the levels of
vegetation cover and production necessary for bond release, there is a trend towards greater
cover of desirable perennial grass species overall.
