The <br />inspection was conducted and the report prepared by me, Robin Reilley of the DRMS. Billy Nichols, <br />Trapper Mine representative was present throughout the inspection. Skies were clear and temperatures <br />ranged between 18 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Ash and coal were being hauled and spoil being transported <br />and dumped. <br /> <br />MAINTENANCE ITEMS IDENTIFIED: <br />None identified at the time of this inspection. <br />o Due to the snowy ground conditions it was not possible to observed maintenance items <br />identified in previous inspections. <br /> <br />INSPECTION: <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />One drag line, the Molly Braun was operating, while the Queen Ann and Baby Doe were idle. Activities in <br />the pit were observed. Q and M seams were being uncovered with mining beginning in the M seam. The <br />blast, slated to be observed in the afternoon would not completely drilled until the following day. Dumping <br />of spoil was occurring at the 7450 elevation. Reclamation is ongoing as permitted. <br /> <br />SIGNS and MARKERS – Rule 4.02 <br />o Mine entrance signs observed along CO 13 appeared in good repair with all required infor- <br />mation. <br />o Topsoil stockpiles observed were marked with identifying signs. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) I 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) I 4.03.2(4); S urfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6) I 4.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7) I 4.03.2(7) <br />o Haul roads and access roads appeared in good repair, well maintained and free of ruts. <br />o No evidence of offsite impacts were observed.
