Laroche and Schnabel:
On February 25, 2019 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety(DRMS)received a letter
from Mr. Laroche indicating he is no longer the contact for seven mine reclamation permits, and
that he is no longer an employee of Continental Materials Corporation (CMC), but now an
employee of Aggregate Industries. On March 4,2019 Mr. Schnabel brought a letter to the DRMS
indicating he is the contact for six of these same permits and that he represents Castle Concrete
Aggregates. The DRMS position is that this is a change of Permittee and requires a Succession
of Operator "Request for Transfer of Mineral Permit and Succession of Operators
Application" (SO applications). The following permits require SO applications:
M-1977-210 Snyder Quarry
M-1977-376 Canon Dolomite Quarry
M-1986-015 Pueblo East Pit
M-1977-211 Pikeview Quarry
M-1977-573 Pueblo West Pit
M-2001-005 Grisenti Farms Gravel Pit
M-1984-008 Barnhart Pit*
*The Barnhart Pit was not included in the letter from Mr. Schnabel. If there is some dispute over
which company is to be responsible for the Barnhart Pit, please contact the DRMS, otherwise an
1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203 P (303) 8663567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
Jared S.
