The mine is a reclaimed underground
mine, that currently consists of a perennial mine discharge and water development system. No mine personnel
remain on site. The forest service road to the site is not maintained in the winter months. The actual site was
inaccessible. Approximately 2-3 feet of snow remains on the forest service road. There have been high
incidences of avalanches throughout the state in March. The inspector was uncomfortable accessing the site on
foot due to the current back country avalanche danger.

An aerial inspection is scheduled for some time during this month.

AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1):
Records are stored at the Garfield County Courthouse in Glenwood Springs.
