TC is requesting the approval to add a pre-fabricated
10'x20' Master Control Center (MCC) building along with adding an addition to the existing pump enclosure
building to allow for an additional pump and controls for the recently approved larger second pipeline. The
MCC building will be a pre-fabricated building that will be placed on a 1 foot thick concrete slab. The addition
to the existing pump enclosure will extend the current building to the west with an 18' X 32' addition to enclose
the additional pump system needed to pump the thickener slurry of the recently approved larger diameter
pipeline that parallels the original pipeline. With the upgraded pump system an MCC building was necessary to
insure proper controls and necessary monitoring for the larger pipeline. An additional transformer is needed to
run the additional pump and will be installed on the south side of the building next to the existing transformer on
an 8' X 8' concrete pad.
This submittal includes a revision application form, revised PAP text addressing the 2SW Booster Pump
Upgrades, a revised Map 24 showing the additions to the 2SW Pump Station, and a bond estimate. We would
like to proceed with this project as soon as possible. We, therefore, appreciate your consideration, cooperation,
and assistance in facilitating timely review and approval of this revision application. After you have opportunity
to review the accompanying information, please feel free to contact me with any questions or to discuss
submittal materials or related matters.
Sincerely,
Twentymile Coal, LLC
ka'4x
Miranda Kawcak
Environmental Engineer
