Minerals Company, LLC, Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine
TR-22 Revise Permit Boundary and Ownership
Adequacy Response #2
Permit No. C-1984-065

Dear Mr. Trujillo:

DMRS’ letter dated March 8, 2019, transmitted its adequacy review #2 for the referenced
technical revision. DRMS is concerned whether all affected area lies within the revised permit
boundary.

The DRMS system indicates the affected area is 2484.3 acres. The 2484.3 acres equals the size
of the currently approved permit boundary (ref page 2-1). The annual reclamation report
shows a disturbed area of 45.2 acres. Of that amount 2.4 acres are permanent.

The rock tunnels affect at total of 0.34 acres (2 tunnels 500’ long 15’ wide). Only about 0.23
acres would be considered affected since some of the runnels lie under the disturbed area.

Please call with any questions.

Sincerely,

J.
