Legal Description of Areas: <br />Middle Pad is in Township 13 South, Range 90 West <br />Section 8: SW 1/4 ofNEIA and NWl/4 of SEI/4 <br />Lower Pad is in Township 13 South, Range 90 West <br />Section 8: NW1/4 of SE1/4, SWI/4 of SEI/4 and SEI/4 of SETA <br />A map showing the areas is included with this request. <br />Date of Reclamation Work Performed: <br />In early 2016, Oxbow Mining, LLC began demolition of its coal mine facilities near Somerset, <br />Colorado. These proposed release areas were backfilled and graded as shown in the Post Mine <br />Topography 2.05-M6 Drawings. An as built Map of the area is included with this Surety Release <br />Application. The areas have been top soiled and seeded as required in the permit. The Backfill <br />and grading of these areas was completed in 2018. <br />Description of the results achieved <br />The structures removed from within this bond release request area include the Lamp house, <br />Intake and Belt Portal Structure, Shop, Tank Farm and Wash Bay, CV -1 Belt Drive Structure, <br />Stack Tubes and Reclaim Tunnel, portions of Sanborn Creek's Mine Conveyor system, and all <br />associated pads and footings. Two portions of the Elk Creek have been re-established. The <br />areas have been back filled and graded, top soiled and seeded. <br />Copies of written notice to seek release to parties identified in Rule 3.03.2(1) is enclosed. <br />Copy of newspaper advertisement required by rule 3.03.2(1) is enclosed. <br />Proof of publication will be available in four to five weeks. <br />Please call me at 970-929-6034 if you have any comments or questions. <br />Sincerely, <br />)7 d, �$� <br />Doug A.
