(WJE) previously prepared a slope stability analysis report for the
above referenced site, dated June 29, 2018. We understand that the State of Colorado Division of
Reclamation,Mining, and Safety has asked that we specifically address slope stability in regard to potential
impacts to the following nearby infrastructure:
1.) Highway 6
2.) Overhead power lines and power poles
3.) Buried power lines
4.) Buried gas lines
5.) Buried telecommunication lines
6.) Airport Road off Highway 6
7.) Fences
8.) Runways
9.) Helipads
I0.)Airport structures within 200 feet of mining operations
In response, we believe that the proposed gravel mining operation will have no adverse impacts on any of
this infrastructure. As indicated in our June 29, 2018 report, our analyses indicate that the mined 2:1
(horizontal: vertical) slopes are expected to have factors of safety of 1.5 or greater. Stable slopes should
have no adverse impacts on any of the improvements listed above. We note that for infrastructure that is
close to the crest of the slope, such as the existing airport fence, it will be important to implement
reclamation plans in a timely manner to control erosion on the slope. If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely,
WIS ,JANNEY 1STNER ASSU IATES,INC.
Francis E. rrisQhl P•= 771 Wad
Associate Principa]09 - :. €
fle
U11111W quarters&Laboratories-Northbrook,Illinois
Abu Dhabi I Atlanta I Austin I Boston Chicago I Cleveland I Dallas I Denver I Detroit I Dubai I Honolulu I Houston I Los Angeles
Minneapolis I New Haven I New York I Princeton I San Francisco I Seattle I South Florida I Washington,DC
