Box 187 <br />Craig, CO 81626 <br /> <br />Re: Adequacy Review, Permit Revision PR-09 <br /> Trapper Mining, Inc., The Trapper Mine <br /> DRMS Permit No.: C-1981-010 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Luke: <br /> <br />During the Cost Estimate portion of DRMS’s review, the following additional <br />adequacy concerns relating to the mining and proposed regrade came up. <br /> <br />DRMS, upon comparison of pre -mining topography Map M3 with post-mining <br />topography Maps M12 for PR9 and TR115 in relation to Rule s 4.14.1(2)(a) and <br />4.14.2(1) noted the following items pertinent to reclamation to approximate <br />original contour: <br /> <br />o Along the 404000 northing, a proposed elevation of +75 feet over pre-mining <br />elevation, dipping to -50 below pre-mining elevation, and, further east, <br />dipping to -175 feet below pre-mining elevation at the 1441000 easting are <br />shown on the PR9 post-mining topography map (Map M12). A difference of <br />-175 feet between pre-mining and post-mining topographies represents too <br />great a difference to conform to the above mentioned rules. The Division is <br />willing to accept a difference of -50 feet between pre-mining and post-mining <br />topographies, i.e, a post-mining topography with elevations of up to 50 feet <br />lower in elevation relative to the pre-mining topography.
