Exhibit "E"
Reclamation Plan
6.4.5 The Reclamation Plan for the FRANCISCOTTI PIT #2 is as follows (Please also
see map):
(1) The Operator/Applicant will reclaim this mine site back to rangeland. No trees,
shrubs or bushy -type vegetation will be planted, only the appropriate grasses selected
by the NRCS will be utilized. - The site will be graded to compliment and work with the
surrounding topography. The pit floor will be flat and the slopes will be graded at 3H: 1V
or flatter. The saved topsoil (please see Mining Map Exhibit C for locations) will be
spread over all the disturbed areas and prepared for seeding according to the NRCS
recommendations. Topsoil will be replaced at 3" - 6".
(2) This Reclamation plan includes provisions for all the general Requirements for this
mine site to be restored to a post mining use of Rangeland. To accomplish this the side
slopes will be graded to 3 horizontal to 1 vertical (3H:1V) or flatter. The affected lands
will be planted with grass that the NRCS has Recommended, topsoil will be replaced at
a rate of 3" to 6".
(a) The operator/applicant will reclaim this mine site back to Rangeland as the
landowner directed. This site is on a working Ranch and after mining is completed
the land will be use for cattle grazing. The haul roads will be reclaimed to rangeland.
The earth moving will be done by dozer and front-end loaders and the side slopes
will be mine at a 3H:1V gradient or flatter to facilitate reclamation, when using farm
equipment to prepare the seedbed and grass seeding. The land shaping of the
affected area will be done in such a manner as to enhance the surrounding
rangeland. To accomplish this stormwater will be managed to prevent erosion and
promote vegetation growth.
(b) As stated before the proposed post -mining land use will be Rangeland to be
consistent with the surrounding lands which are Rangeland. The NRCS
Reclamation plan will be implemented to the affected area. This is consistent with
the landowner ranching operation.
