EXIE"IT "H"
r
WILDLIFE INFORMATION
Wildlife habitat is basically non-existent over those portions owned by Galloping Goose LLC.,
and a substantial amount of U.S. Forest Service property bordering Galloping Goose on the East.
However, there is a large area of undisturbed lands managed by the Forest Service which serve as
wildlife habitat and falls within the proposed mine area. While the project is in operation, it r
should not adversely affect wildlife.
A variety of wildlife species will use this habitat. 1 Elk, deer, bear and mountain lion use the pine
and aspen areas for both cover and food requirements. Several species of raptors(red-tailed
hawks, kestrels, and owls), small mammals, coyotes, red fox and bobcat could also be expected in
the area.
When this project is completed,it should greatly reduce erosion as well as provide.more habitat
for wildlife.
