Also, Lucas West prepared a bond calculation for the Garrett Pit over
the summer and the same reclamation plan was designed for the King Pit. Maybe his files could
serve as comparison as much of the information and design is the same.
Major change requests are as follows:
• change floor rip to 60 acres (from 150)
• remove crusher fines spread across the site (they will be mixed into overburden, as
available/needed)
• topsoil replacement should be for 50 CY(reflects 60 acres; not 80 CY)
• change revegetation throughout to 60 acres (from 100)
• change 3 ton/acre hay to 1 ton/acre straw
• remove power mulcher
• change weed spray to truck application (from hand spray)
• remove double fertilizer application if revegetation is unsuccessful
• the seed mix in the current calculation does not match that listed on page E-5 of the
amendment file.
Lastly, could you please confirm the timeline for bond payments with respect to conditional
versus full approval by the DRMS? Resolution with the BLM is continuing to stretch on and we
want to be aware of exactly how this hold up could affect our application.
