Asphalt Paving Co <br /> February 7, 2019 <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br /> 1) Provide an accurate description of the existing high-wall material(s), geotechnical <br /> characteristics, bench, and wall configuration. <br /> 2) Geotechnical evaluation of the stability of the existing high-wall configuration,with special <br /> consideration given to identify existing areas of potential weakness and/or instability, and for <br /> recommendations to correct these issues if observed. <br /> 3) Determination if the existing high-wall conforms to the requirements of existing permit. <br /> 4) If the existing high-wall does not conform to the requirements of the existing permit, specify <br /> what additional work will be required to achieve the required configuration. <br /> 5) This submittal shall be completed and certified by an independent, third-party licensed <br /> geotechnical engineer. <br /> The geotechnical evaluation as described above be an enforceable part of the annual reporting <br /> requirements for this site until such time as a revision to justify the removal of this reporting requirement <br /> is approved by the Division. Please acknowledge. <br /> This concludes the Division's preliminary adequacy review of this application. This letter shall not be <br /> construed to mean that there are no other technical deficiencies in your application. Other issues may <br /> arise as additional information is supplied. Please remember that the decision date for this amendment <br /> application is April 22, 2019. As previously mentioned, if you are unable to provide satisfactory <br /> responses to any inadequacies prior to this date, it will be your responsibility to request an extension of <br /> time to allow for continued review of this application. If there are still unresolved issues when the <br /> decision date arrives and no extension has been requested, the application will be denied.
