Tom Fry of <br />ERMR was present for the entire inspection. The weather conditions were clear and cool. The temperature was <br />approximately 35F. The ground conditions were muddy limiting access to certain areas of the mine. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> All required records were on file and available for review at the mine office. No problems were noted <br />with the records review. Please see the availability of records checklist at the end of this report. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Pond 9 contained a small amount of water but was not discharging. The embankment appeared to be <br />stable. <br /> <br />Pond 12 was inaccessible due to muddy conditions. <br /> <br />Pond 13 contained water and was discharging. The embankment appeared to be stable and the emergency <br />spillway was free of obstructions. On the east side of the pond, water is being diverted from the trench drain pipe <br />directly into the pond through two smaller pipes (photo 1). The two smaller pipes directed water to the edge of <br />Pond 13 where the water falls through an aeration device (photo 2). Pond 13 is capable of handling the extra water <br />as outlined in Attachment 2.05.3(3)-25. <br /> <br />Pond 16 did not contain water and the spillway was free of obstructions. The rock lined inlets were in good <br />condition. <br /> <br />Pond 18 contained water but was not discharging. The embankment appeared to be stable and the emergency
