Frank <br />Ferris of ERMR was present for the entire inspection. The weather conditions were clear and cool. The <br />temperature was approximately 35F and the ground was muddy from melting snow. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Pond 1 contained a small amount of water but was not discharging. The embankment appeared to be <br />stable. The primary and emergency spillways were free of obstructions. The east (photo 1) and west ditches were <br />in good condition. <br /> <br />Pond 2 did not contain water. Both inlet structures (photo 2) were in good condition. The primary and emergency <br />spillway structures were free of obstructions. The south ditch was in good condition (photo 3). The north ditch <br />was not inspected due to muddy conditions. <br /> <br />The culvert under the east haul road was free of obstructions (photo 4). <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> Mine entrance signs were in place at all entrances. Permit boundary signs were moved to reflect the new <br />permit boundary on the north side of the permit area. The new permit boundary was approved in TR18 and issued <br />on December 4, 2018. <br /> <br /> <br />
