The area of land and the volume of water expected to be drained to the trench drain was
not included on Map 2.05.3(3)-32 nor in the associated text. Also, SedCad modeling for
the trench drain and riprap sizing were missing. Please submit the following: SedCad
Modeling for trench drain, volume of water to be carried in the drain, drainage area
acres serving trench drain and rip rap sizing.
Response: The trench drain is a ground water collection system that does not collect
surface runoff. Therefore, the trench drain was not modelled in SEDCAD with a surface
watershed area. However, as indicated in Attachment 2.05.3(3)-32, trench drain discharge
has been modelled as a constant inflow of 1,000 gpm that flows directly into Pond 013.
Since the purpose of the erosion protection inlet is embankment stabilization and not to
convey flow, no SECAD channel designs or rip -rap sizing have been included. Also,
Attachment 2.05.3(3)-32 has been updated to include reference to Map 2.05.3(3)-32.
Also included with this adequacy response package are materials revised in response to your
comments and a change of index sheet to ease incorporation of this material into the permit
document. If you have any questions regarding the enclosed adequacy review responses, please
contact Tony Tennyson at (970) 824-1232 or ttennyson(a,tristate tgt org.
DJC:JSS:der
Enclosures
AN EOUAL OPPORTUNITY /AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER
A Touchstone Energy' Cooperative
Sincerely,
Daniel J.
