Mike Peacock of Mountain Coal Company (MCC) accompanied the inspection. The weather was <br />overcast and cold, with considerable snow on the ground which limited the scope of the inspection. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Ditches and ponds were covered with ice and snow. <br />A small tree was growing in the embankment of the MB5E pond and should be removed when weather <br />permits. <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Longwall mining of the E8 panel was in progress. <br />The volume of stockpiled coal had been drawn down, and the stockpile was well within its footprint. <br /> <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES – Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> The prep plant was generating waste at the time of the inspection, which was being worked on the RPE. <br />Haul trucks had been running to the RPEE, but the road was inaccessible during the inspection. <br /> <br />DOCUMENTS RECEIVED <br />N/A <br />OTHER (SPECIFY) <br />N/A <br />
