Ralston Quarry Slope Stability <br /> onvl-' C 1 <br /> Zone 4 and Section C—C' <br /> There has been little or no further movement in the area of that slope failure area, and <br /> the vegetation has re-grown extensively since that time, as can be seen in the May 31, <br /> 2010 image, above. The section analyzed for slope stability for this study is indicated <br /> approximately by the black line. <br /> Slope stability analyses of this zone of the slope indicated a calculated Morgenstern- <br /> Price factor of safety against failure of about 1.0, as shown on the Slopev\18 output <br /> below, with the groundwater at the contact between the tailings and the underlying, <br /> native soils. The lack of slope movement in that area since 2010 may indicate that the <br /> re-grading at that time has kept the local water level somewhat lower than modeled.
