RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT E
1. General Reclamation Plan
The total area of the permit is 338.8 acres. The permit has both a disturbed area(310.6 acres) and
an undisturbed area (28.2 acres). Much of the undisturbed areas are perimeter areas of the pit.
The reclaimed land use is shown in Table E-1.
Table E-1 Ralston Quarry Reclamation Land Use
Land the Ana,
Water Resewir 127.8
Rangeland 179.5
Access Roads left in lace 3.3
Undisturbed Areas 28.2
Total 338.8 71
Note:Areas listed above can be seen on Map F.
Reclamation will be conducted in concurrence with the two mining stages. Once the north
platform above the Denver Water tunnel is mined out, backfilling will commence in that area.
Following this, there will not be a need for reclamation work until the final mining slopes are
complete around the quarry. Since there is no backfill within the reservoir area, the only
reclamation activity that will need to be conducted in this area as time goes on is the construction
of the vegetation islands shown on Map C-3. Map F shows the post mine land use along with the
reclaimed slopes for the entire site.
2018 Slide Area
The disturbance associated with the slide in 2018 will be reclaimed to the same land use as the
surrounding area: rangeland. Once regrading has finished, topsoil will be placed, and
revegetation will be conducted. Stormwater control systems will remain in place until
revegetation in this area has been determined to be a success by DRMS.
Reclamation of the slide area will include the regrading of portions of the slope to install
processed tailings embankments to improve slope stability. Within portions of this reclaimed
slope, subsurface drainage systems will be installed to capture stormwater infiltration and carry it
Ralston Quarry Greg 1. icki and As iaa-n,PLLC
January 2019 E-1
