Under section
6.4.21(4)(c),please commit to submitting a copy of the approved Stormwater
Management Plan within 30 days once it is obtained
Response;
We assume the DRMS means a copy of the Stormwater Permit within 30 days? We have
already supplied a copy of the Stormwater Management Plan. We will supply the DRMS a
revised copy of the Stormwater Management Plan, if revisions are required by the
Colorado Division of Water Quality.
17. Page 68, under section 6.4.21(7)(1) discusses that drainage control at the site
considered recommendations from several cited documents. Based on a review of
the proposed storm water management plan, the operator only proposed to install
silt fence downgradient of the waste rock pile. The Division recommends the
applicant consider also utilizing hay bales as a best management practice,
particularly near where storm water will flow into the ephemeral drainage onsite.
Under this section, please discuss the drainage control best management practices.
Response:
We have added straw bales to the Stormwater Management Plan on page 87.
18. Page 68 under section 6.4.21(8)(a) indicates a map of all surface water and
groundwater wells is attached to an appendix of Exhibit C. However, it appears
this map is located in Attachment V at the end of the Exhibits. Please revise page
38 to correctly cite the location of this map within the application documents.
Response:
Please see Attachment VI,which contains the Application revisions. In Appendix VI,
Addendum IV is the Division of Water Resources map of wells within 'Amile and
approximately 2 miles from the proposed Project. Some wells listed within'Amile and
some shown approximately 2 miles from the Project are not permitted wells. In the past,
such wells are not protected by the Division of Water Resource Regulations. None of the
wells are within 200 feet of the proposed affected area.
