Goshawk nest in LMA project area. Picture shows typical conditions found at all <br />goshawk nest sites in the project area. It also shows the typical mature <br />Spruce -fir -Aspen community found at higher elevations in the LMA. <br />Olive -sided flycatcher: Olive -sided flycatchers were observed during prior years <br />surveys at lower elevations in the LMA, within theLick Creek, Deep Creek and Dry Fork <br />of Minnesota Creek drainages. There is suitable nesting habitat for these birds <br />throughout much of the general area. <br />Purple martin: Purple martins are known to nest at lower elevation in the Dry Fork of <br />Minnesota Creek drainage at elevations below those found in the LMA. They have also <br />been commonly observed flying in the general area of the northern boundary of the <br />LMA. None of these birds have been observed at elevations as high as where the LMA is <br />located. There is suitable nesting habitat for these birds in aspen stands near bodies of <br />water at lower elevations in the LMA, but none have been found nesting in these areas. <br />Boreal toad: There is suitable habitat for Boreal toads in ponds found in the spruce -fir <br />16 <br />
