The APE is situated within an upper
montane environment with steep slopes and thick vegetation in an area that is not known for
occupation during either the Prehistoric or Historic period based on the historic context of the region
and the negative results of previous surveys conducted in the APE. Although the area is covered in thick
vegetation, the negative results reports from the previous survey in the APE, coupled with the lack of
desirable terrain for occupation, shows that it is unlikely cultural resources are hidden by the thick
vegetation.
Summary and Management Recommendations
The cultural resource survey was negative. No previously recorded or newly recorded cultural resources
are within the APE. ERO recommends a determination of "no historic properties affected" pursuant to
36 CFR 800.4 of the NHPA.
ERO Project #10145 13
