seam in the Sunset Trail mining area. WWE analyzed the proposed layout for longwall panels
SSI through SS4 as shown in Figure 1.
The geologic and mining conditions are consistent throughout the Southern Panels, Apache Rocks
West, and Sunset Trail mining areas (Agapito, 2005). Therefore, no change was needed in the
subsidence model prepared by Dunrud and predictions for the South of Divide mining area are
considered to also be applicable for the Dry Fork, Apache Rocks West, and Sunset Trail mining
areas.
