This review is of the operators <br />responses to the 1st round of adequacy items. The revision proposes an increase in disturbed area by <br />564.0 acres and a modification to the 5 year mine plan 2018-2022, this includes new disturbance <br />expanding the current pit, referred to in this revision as L pit. Expansion to the east has also been <br />addressed in previous revision including PR7 and PR8. The disturbance in N pit is redisturbance of <br />previously mined areas to acquire a deeper seam. <br /> <br /> <br />Rule: 2.04.5(1)-(3) – General Description of Hydrology and Geology <br />See below for Geologic and Hydrologic specific sections <br /> <br />Rule: 2.04.6(1)-(2) – Geology Description <br /> It does not appear that all permit stipulation have been complied with for mining of the eastern <br />expansion area. Stipulations 21 and 22 are still listed as Future status and it does not appear that <br />all aspects of these stipulation have been provided. <br /> <br />As part of Stipulation 22, in relation to the geology in the eastern expansion area: <br /> <br />(c) A geology description that updates Sections 2.7.2 and 2.7.3 of the Trapper Mine permit <br />application package with the information required by Rule 2.04.6(2)(a) and (b). <br /> <br />Within the PR8 review, it was stated that: <br /> <br />“Trapper is not requesting to mine the PR-7 area with this revision. The operator states <br />that additional geologic information will be provided as a revision at the time the mining <br />plan is submitted. <br /> <br />A study of overburden characteristic has been conducted, and a new section added for <br />the Overburden Geochemistry of the PR-7 Expansion Area. Corehole data is provided <br />and map included.”
