Depths of the cut so far is estimated at about 20 feet in height. <br />Operations in the boxcut is truck and shovel however no overburden was being removed at the time of the <br />inspection. All overburden is being trucked to the Collom Excess Spoil Pile which has also begun construction. <br /> <br />South Taylor Pit. Initial Collom boxcut. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6), Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />All haul roads were snow plowed and maintained. Due to rapid snowmelt, light-use and some access roads were <br />inaccessible at the time of the inspection. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The East and West Pit Reclamation was inspected at overlook areas. Due to snowcover, vegetative cover couldn’t <br />be seen but slopes overall remain stable. Approximatley 300 elk were observed throughout the reclamation areas <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br />Mine identification marker was observed at the Mine’s entrance off of State Highway 13. All information for <br />compliance was observed. <br /> <br />All topsoil piles inspected were clearly marked. <br />
