PERMIT#: M-2018-057
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS:PSH
INSPECTION DATE: October 31,2018
OBSERVATIONS
This was a pre-operational inspection of the Old Town Reclamation Project conducted by Peter Hays with the
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division/DRMS) at the request of Venture Recourse, Inc. Mr.
Patrick Maher with Venture Resources, Inc. was present during the inspection.
The Operator requested the Division observe the site while preforming a separate inspection of the Hukill
Gulch Millsite permitted to Venture Resources, Inc. The material from the Old Town site would be processed
at the Hukill Gulch site. The Old Town site was snow covered at the time of the inspection. The corners of the
proposed permit boundary were marked and numbered and appeared to match the proposed permit
boundary based on the maps provided by the Applicant during the inspection.
The proposed operation is 2.76 acres. The Operator intends to clean up and reprocess the Old Town Mine
dump to recover gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc. The Operator estimated the dump contains 60,000 cubic
yards of material during the inspection. The site would be reclaimed as wildlife habitat.
The permit application review is being conducted by another environmental specialist with the Division. An
additional site inspect may be required by the reviewing specialist. Photographs taken during the inspection
are attached.
Inspection Contact Address
Patrick Maher
Venture Resources, Inc.
2208 Two Brothers Rd
Idaho Springs, CO 80452
Ec: Michael Cunningham, DRMS
