This renewal will correct this. <br />2. Total Recoverable Metals <br />By federal register of September 26, 1984, EPA now allows the use of total <br />recoverable metals effluent limitations in permits. Such limitations are <br />no more restrictive than total metals limitations and may be less <br />restrictive. This change will not alter the sampling and sample <br />preservation technique, but does warrant a change in the analytical <br />procedure. It is therefore important that the permittee alert its <br />laboratory to this change. <br />3. Dissolved Oxygen Monitoring <br />It is important that the permittee maintain a dissolved oxygen content of <br />2.0 mg/l or greater within the domestic lagoon system. Low D.O. in the <br />. lagoon may result in high BOD5 concentrations in the effluent and <br />subsequent permit violations. <br />
