Post -Mining Effluent Limitations <br />Beginning immediately and lasting through December 31, 1990 the permittee <br />is authorized to discharge within the limitations specified below, from <br />outfall(s) serial number(s) 004, OUb, U07, 009, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, <br />016, 017, 018, 019, 020 and 021. <br />a. Any discharge resulting from non -precipitation -related causes or <br />from precipitation within any 24-hour period less than or equal to <br />the 10 -year, 24-hour precipitation event (or snowmelt of equivalent <br />volume) shall comply with the following limitations. <br />Discharge Limitations <br />Maximum Concentration <br />Effluent Parameter Daily Max. c/ <br />Flow -(MCD) N/A <br />Settleable Solids (ml/1) 0.5 <br />• Salinity N/A <br />pH - (Standard Units) shall remain between 6.5 and 9.0 c/. <br />011 and grease shall not exceed 10 mg/1 c/ in any grab sample nor <br />shall there be a visible sheen. <br />b. Any discharge caused by precipitation within any 24-hour period <br />greater than the 10 -year, 24-hour precipitation event (or saowmelt <br />of equivalent volume) shall comply witn the following limitatious. <br />Flow-HGD - monitoring only <br />Salinity - monitoring only <br />pH - (Standard Units) shall remain between b.5 and 9.0 c/ <br />Oil'and grease shall not exceed 10 mg/l c/ in any grab sample nor <br />shall there be a visible sheen. <br />C. Additional conditions - effective at all times. <br />There shall be no discharge of floating solids or visible foam in <br />other than trace amounts. The discharge shall not contain any <br />sanitary sewage or other pollutants not associated with surface <br />runoff. <br />d. These limitations shall apply to discharge from reclamation areas <br />until the performance bond issued to the facility by the appropriate <br />• SMCRA authority has been released and the Division approves <br />inactivation of the discharge point. <br />See Part I.C. for Footnotes <br />
